Wow
June and the year is half over and moving faster as we speak. Man, time
flies! Anyway to update all as to Beach Cities Falcons. At the last update
I mentioned we now have a board:
President-----Ben
Townsend
V President--John Kaitangian
Treasurer-----Norm Huie
Secretary-----Danny Townsend
From this we have decided to put into place dues to cover costs of the
club. We now have a bank account with Wells Fargo, Norm being our Treasurer
is the overseer of our finances. So with this we have come to the agreement
to institute a dues membership with Beach Cities Falcons of $20 per year.
They are due this month starting June and should be sent to Norm Huie
239 S LaEsperanza San Clemente Ca 92672. I hope for those of you seriously
interested in the activities and growth of our club you will support Beach
Cities Falcons with your annual dues. This will help cover the cost of
the Wells Fargo account, the website from Tom Hodges and other activities
and "stuff" many clubs encounter, stickers, pins, t-shirts and
etc. Without this we can't keep our club on the web or maintain the account
as I'm not that good looking to just keep the funds up.
This past weekend June 9th & 10th Central California Falcons hosted
the Pacific Regional in Bakersfield. Kern County Museum opened their facility
for our show Saturday and a banquet dinner. Alfonso and myself attended
the event and had a good time. 43 Falcons from the various Pacific region
made it to the show and new friends and bonds where made. Congratulations
go out to Alfonso for winning 2nd Place in the 60-65 Sedan Daily Driver
class. We SoCal and Beach Cities came away with the task of hosting the
2007 Regional in southern California. Wow we have our work cut out for
us. Peggy Walls and myself are already in the brainstorming of where and
when to host this event for next year, Orange County or Burbank area.
We will be getting together to put ideas and figures about as to this
event. We will keep everyone posted as to our progress and any ideas with
be appreciated.
July will be the next monthly meet for Beach Cities Falcons, date and
time to be announced at a later time. I am thinking of getting both SoCal
and Beach Cities Clubs together for this. Last time I met with SoCal Peggy,
I mentioned this to them and they where up for a dual gathering. I suggested
a place in Torrance Ricky & Ronnies Cruise-In Diner, whey cool. I
just need to get it set in motion, so keep your eyes tuned to your email
as I make plans for this. This is a real neat sight and gathering for
the car club culture.
Anyway please take a serious note to your supporting Beach Cities Falcons
with your dues as this will help to keep the website active and keep our
account in the black +. This club doesn't run on its own but by the contributions
of its members. Norm will give you a members card as you send in your
dues and again it's only $20 for the whole year and as we grow we can
support club articles for the members and maybe t-shirts. So please send
in your dues if you are going to be serious about Beach Cities Falcons.
Thanks,
Ben Townsend
